Groom Preps.
The morning of, it's usually pretty straightforward for the guys.
There aren't hours of hair and makeup, jewellery and the like.
I love shooting groom preps for a few reasons.
It's a nice opportunity to get comfy infront of the camera, before the ceremony starts.
It allows me to meet the groomsmen and get familiar.
It gives them something to do while they wait around for the day to start.
It provides an opportunity for the groom's family to get some photos with just the groom.
It's a bit of fun and sets the tone for the wedding kicking off.
It's fun for the bride to look back on after the wedding and see what was going on!
A few nervous smiles and laughs, and maybe even a tear if we're lucky.
Usually we carve out about 30 minutes to capture everything we need and it's a win for everyone.
